ASK BEFORE YOU TOUCH
We love all the energy and love at COPENHELL. But not everyone loves a hug from a stranger, and that is completely okay.
Ask before touching people that you don’t know. That goes for hugs, dancing and everything in between. And if someone says no – or says nothing – you respect that. No answer is also a no.
This is not about making everything that is warm and spontaneous into something stiff and dull. It is about the fact that everyone has the right to decide what happens to their own body. Consent is not a limitation – it is the foundation for all of us being able to have fun and feel good together at the festival.
Want to give someone a hug? Ask first, and respect the answer. That is good COPENHELL style.
And just for the record: the person handing you a cold draft beer or selling you merchandise with a smile is doing so because it is their job. That should not be taken as an invitation to anything else, no matter how many drinks you have consumed.
