CROCELL

CROCELL is one of the most consistent and hardworking acts in Danish extreme metal, and with their seventh album, after almost 20 years of blackened, melodic death metal, they sound hungrier than ever. Just a year after their 2008 debut album The God We Drowned, they were named metal talent of the year at the Danish Metal Awards. They have since released a long line of albums, and in 2024 they returned after a six-year break with Of Frost, Of Flame, Of Flesh, produced by Tue Madsen.

Spring 2026 saw the release of Swarm of Insects, the band’s first album with guitarist Mads Bertram Gath and the first that they have recorded entirely themselves. The album deals with tyranny, oppression, betrayal and demagoguery, and the title brings biblical plagues to mind. All of it turned into heavy riffs and dark melodies in classic Danish death metal of the highest calibre.
