BAEST is one of the biggest Danish metal success stories ever, and they have proved it above all at COPENHELL. They started out on the Pandæmonium stage in 2017, took over the Hades stage in 2019 and made COPENHELL history in 2022 when they became the first Danish death metal band to play the festival’s main stage, Helvíti: a true tantrum of a show that was received by an utterly ecstatic crowd!

BAEST has become the figurehead of Danish death metal both at home and abroad. In 2018 they signed with Century Media, followed by Danse Macabre in 2018, Venenum in 2019 and Necro Sapiens in 2021: heavy, raw old-school death metal with a groove that can get even the most sceptical heads nodding.

And then they took a chance. On their 2025 release Colossal, produced by Tue Madsen, they turned up the classic heavy metal and let the melodies and big choruses shine without letting go of the brutality, joined by guests including D-A-D’s Jesper Binzer and the band Orm. The musical renewal went hand in hand with the high quality that the band has become synonymous with over the years.

BAEST has played more than 400 shows around the world, and the beast keeps thundering on, forever hunting new prey. In other words, this is a band in absolute top form, returning at COPENHELL 2027 to the festival where they grew big and strong, to give us another blow to the back of the neck with their only show on Danish soil in 2027.
