BABE HAVEN

BABE HAVEN from North Carolina mixes ’90s feminist punk with heavy, chuggy riffs, and the result is hyper-energetic. Their sound blends riot grrrl with nu metal, thrash and hardcore, and their biggest shared influence is Kittie. The lyrics tackle sexism, LGBT+ issues and being a woman in a male-dominated rock world, but always with humour and optimism. The band themselves describe their shows as a space for “radical inclusion and catharsis”.

After their 2023 debut Uppercut came their second album Nuisance, with tracks like Die (And Rot) and Final Girl, where the horror film’s classic surviving heroine is a recurring figure. BABE HAVEN has shared stages with Mannequin Pussy, Otoboke Beaver and Soft Play and played L7’s Fast and Frightening Takeover and Punk Rock Bowling.
