Synth PunkMOR is an electro-punk duo consisting of members Karen Marie Ørsted (MØ) and Josefine Struckmann (Nurse). The group was formed in 2007 in Odense and was active during the years 2007-2012, during which they released two 7″ vinyl records, “Fisse I Dit Fjæs” (“Pussy In Your Face”) on Mastermind Records and Luk Røven Records in 2009, and “Vanvidstimer” (“Hours of Madness”) on Spaghetti Cassetti and Lort Records in 2011.
MOR is now, 15 years later, current with the EP “Sort Nat” (“Black Night”), which they are releasing on their own label, Lort Records, on Mother’s Day, May 10, 2026. It contains four songs, all written in 2012 just before the group dissolved and never got released. Together with regular collaborators Sylvester Struckmann and Danni Storm, they have now finished the songs from back then.
MOR is looking forward to presenting both old and new songs to COPENHELL’s audience with a smashing reunion concert. The show will be the group’s first in ten years and first and foremost a tribute to another time, the duo explains:
“The MOR era shaped us both a lot as artists and as persons, and gave us the foundation for all the art and music that we create today. It was a time when we experimented and were free, and we want to honour and manifest that time! At the same time, enough time has passed that we can step into the MOR energy as the adults we are today. Celebrate what we were, and who we are today, and a universal sisterhood across generations, past, present, punk, pop, wartime and peacetime.”
